During the summer and Autumn months I tested these socks. 
F*#^kn amazing was the outcome.
No only are they amazingly comfortable the Merino wool kept my feet from falling off on high 30's to 41 degree days and warm when it go a bit chilly. Add a liner sock and they continued to perform.
Originally designed as high performance Snowboarder's socks, they are reinforced in the right places for hard riding and vented to keep the sweat under control. Being merino wool they are stink foot resistant. ReliaWool is a patent pending reinforcement construction that puts more wool in high wear or higher impact areas. Used by the up coming USA Winter Olymics team.
Featuring multi density shin cushioning, light cushioning at the heeels to keep the socks in place and guard against abrasion. Contoured cushioning in the ankles is said to protect ankle bones without bulkiness, while a new "4 Degree Elite Fit System" means that the socks are knitted to allow for 4 way stretch and active fit.
Stretch panels across the ankle and foot ensure they fit perfectly. These socks are designed in the USA and Made in NZ.
They are not cheap, they are however top notch in performance and comfort.
